Enable Screen Sharing (using Vine-Jaadu Server)

  1. Disable Screen Sharing or Apple Remote Desktop if they've been enabled.

  2. Download the Vine-Jaadu Server and run it. (source code)

  3. Configure Vine Server with a secure password and make sure it says Server Running.

  4. (Optional) Users of non-US keyboards should see these steps icon_screenshot.

    • In Vine Server's Preferences > Device setting, make sure the Keyboard Layout option is set to Current Keyboard.

    • In System Preferences > International > Input Menu, enable the Unicode Hex Input keyboard, and select it whenever you connect using Vine-Jaadu Server.  It supports non-US keyboard layouts, and also supports special characters (e.g. diacritics and umlauts).
