'Authentication Failed' — how do I fix this?

This error indicates that the password entered in iTeleport does not match the password entered in your VNC server. To fix this:

  1. If you're using Screen Sharing or Apple Remote Desktop, go to System Preferences > Sharing > Screen Sharing (or Apple Remote Desktop), and click Options and enter a new password

  2. If you're using Vine Server, go to its Preferences, then enter a new password.

  3. In iTeleport on your iPhone, enter this same password for the computer you're trying to connect to.

You should now be able to connect to your computer.

If you get the Too Many Security Failures error, just click the Restart Server button in Vine Server to reset it.
