This guide walks you through enabling Screen Sharing (in Leopard) or Apple Remote Desktop (in Tiger) on your Mac. However, these do not support iTeleport's media/volume control keys -- to use these keys, please refer to the Vine Server setup guide. Otherwise, continue with this guide.

From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences. Then, from the System Preferences window, click Sharing.

If you are using Leopard (OS 10.5x) or Snow Leopard (OS 10.6x):

• From the Sharing window, select the Screen Sharing service and enable the service if it is not already running.

• Click the Computer Settings button and enable the VNC viewers may control screen with password option. Enter a secure password then click OK. Make a note of your password as you will need it when setting up iTeleport  on your iPhone in Step 3.

If you are using Tiger (OS 10.4x):
