Jaadu VNC Connect Troubleshooting
-
If you get "Connection Timed Out" or "Could not find" or "Make sure Jaadu Share is active" errors, please follow these instructions.
-
The instructions given within Jaadu Connect's window are the most important instructions to follow. Those instructions are customized to your network configuration, and you should first follow them. If you have followed those instructions completely and are still not able to get it working, you might want to uninstall Jaadu Connect, and instead try the manual setup method.
-
The instructions given below are general tips for previous versions of Jaadu Connect (e.g. v1.0.0) that did not have these customized instructions.
-
If you're having trouble connecting to your computer even after getting Sharing On in Jaadu Connect, delete the server from iTeleport, quit iTeleport and relaunch it. Add the server again and it should work.
-
Make SURE your router's firmware has been upgraded to its latest version
-
If you're getting "Can't find..." errors when on 3G / EDGE, try loading up a webpage (any page) on Safari, as 3G / EDGE sometimes need some persuasion to begin working. Then try connecting to your light-blue server with iTeleport (we'll be fixing this issue by the next release)
-
If you're getting connectivity failures, make sure:
- Your computer's firewall is configured to allow VNC / Screen Sharing
- Your router's setting for Filter Internet NAT Redirection is disabled
-
If Jaadu Connect needs you to set up automatic router configuration:
-
Once you've done that, quit the app and re-launch it.
-
If you keep failing the connectivity test, send us an email with the subject 'Connectivity test issue', describing your network setup in detail. Also, click the Show Options button in Jaadu Connect, and copy the contents of the textbox and paste them at the end of the email.
-
Still no luck? Send us a line and tell us everything you tried, and be sure to paste the contents of the Jaadu Connect app's window.
